To film, you can either use a smartphone with high-quality video capabilities or a DSLR camera.
Audio is one of the most important aspects of video. There are 2 options for recording quality audio for your videos:
Option 1 (External microphone): Use a camera or smartphone with an external microphone, such as one of these: Microphone for Smartphone or Microphone for DSLR
Option 2 (Voiceover): This option doesn't require you to purchase any additional equipment and can be done easily with your smartphone. After filming your video without audio, you can use your cellphone to record a voiceover and narrate your techniques. Many tutorial videos are recorded this way.
Do your best to keep your filming location as organized as possible and keep any distracting elements out of the background.
If you're shooting in natural light either indoors or outdoors, be sure that you are facing the light to avoid filming silhouettes. 👤
